Official: Moscow Region, Daimler can sign 300 euro plant deal soon

KRASNOGORSK, Moscow Region, Nov 11 (PRIME) -- The Moscow Region can sign an agreement with car producer Daimler in 2016 to build a 300 million euro plant producing Mercedes cars, Denis Butsayev, regional minister of investments and innovations, said at a press conference on Friday.

“The main conditions of the agreement have been settled at the moment, we are putting the finishing touches,” Butsayev said.

‘We expect to settle all the legal issues until the end of November. After that, we will proceed to discuss the stages of signing. We expect to sign it before this year’s end, as has been arranged preliminarily.”

The plant will have capacity at up to 25,000 cars annually.
